Generate cards with AI, then practice them in your own AI chat

Choose a topic, languages, deck and card count in Rememberry. The app turns those choices into a structured message for your own AI chat, then validates and saves the response when you bring it back. After studying, use the same cards for exercises and dialogues.

From a topic to cards you can review

Rememberry prepares the generation request, imports the result into your deck and later builds practice instructions from the cards you studied.

    Start from your own instructions or use a recommended option. When the AI chat opens, attach the picture or source file you want it to use.

    Rememberry opens your own AI chat with a message that already includes your cards and context. You just send it and practice.

    Prepare exercises or dialogues from the cards you just reviewed and how difficult the latest recall felt.

  • Works with your decks

    Create a new deck or extend an existing one. Rememberry can include saved card fronts in the request so the AI avoids duplicates.

How it works

From a topic to saved cards in six steps

Rememberry writes the AI instructions and handles the import format. Your selected AI provider generates the content, so you can use the AI service you already have.

    Open Generate Cards

    Choose Generate Cards from the add menu or from a deck. From Study, you can create a new deck or select an existing one.

    Choose the source

    Enter a topic, theme or scenario, or pick a recommended option such as common words, Extend this deck or From uploaded picture.

    Set languages and size

    Choose the original language for the card front and the translation language for the back. Request 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40 or 50 cards, or turn the limit off.

    Generate in your AI chat

    Press Generate to open your selected AI provider with a structured message. Send it and attach the requested image or source file when needed.

    Copy the complete response

    Wait for the AI to finish, then use the copy button below its message. Copy the full response so none of the structured card data is missing.

    Return and press Paste

    Rememberry reads the clipboard, extracts and validates the cards, then creates the new deck or adds them to the deck you selected.

What Rememberry prepares behind the Generate button

The generated message contains more than your topic. It gives the AI the original and translation languages, requested card count, deck context, existing card fronts and a strict response structure that Rememberry can validate and import.

  • Words or phrases with one to three translations in the requested response structure
  • Existing cards are listed when available so the AI knows what not to repeat
  • New decks receive a short descriptive name and description
  • Pasted cards are checked before Rememberry adds them to your collection

FAQ

Generate flashcards & practice

How does generating flashcards work?
In the Rememberry app, describe a topic (say 'kitchen vocabulary in French' or 'travel phrases in Japanese'), choose the languages, deck and card count, then press Generate. Rememberry opens your selected AI chat with a structured message. Send it, copy the complete AI response, return to Rememberry and press Paste. The app validates the result and saves the cards to your chosen deck.
Can I generate cards from a picture or file?
Yes. Choose the uploaded-picture option or describe the source you want to use, then attach the image or file after Rememberry opens the AI chat. For pictures, the prepared instructions tell the AI to use clearly visible text and identifiable details without guessing uncertain content.
What should I do if Paste fails?
Use the copy button below the AI message to copy the complete response again, then return to Rememberry and press Paste. Also make sure clipboard access is allowed. Rememberry cannot import an empty, incomplete or invalid response.
What is AI practice?
After a repetition session in the app, you can practice the same cards in an AI chat. Rememberry does not run a built-in chat: it opens your own AI chat with a message that includes the reviewed cards and latest recall difficulty. You send the message and continue with exercises or dialogues there.
Is AI practice available in the browser extension?
No. AI features (deck generation, translation checks, card help and post-session practice) are available in the Rememberry app. With Pro, cards you save in the extension sync into the app so you can practice them there.
Does Rememberry charge for AI usage?
Rememberry does not add an AI usage fee. Its AI features require Demo or Pro and open your own AI chat, which may apply its own account or usage limits.
Does the AI give feedback?
The prepared exercise instructions can ask your AI provider to explain mistakes or continue with follow-up tasks. The response comes from that provider, not from a built-in Rememberry chat.
